Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment seeks an executive leader to oversee disease surveillance, disease control, and epidemiology for two major work units. You will drive strategic direction, ensure programs use sound scientific evidence, and partner with executive leadership to advance Colorado’s public health goals.

You will lead talent acquisition, budget management, and coordination with state and federal partners to sustain emergency readiness and population health

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology or a closely related field with substantial leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years directing a large organization in a public health setting.
• Experience producing population health outcomes and managing budgets/grants.

Responsabilités

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for two large work units.
• Oversee disease surveillance, disease control and epidemiology functions.
• Ensure programs are grounded in sound evidence and aligned with department priorities.
