Job summary

The Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing is seeking a Director of Dining (Certified Dietary Manager) to lead our dietary department and ensure high-quality nutrition services for patients. You will manage staffing, food ordering, prep, delivery, and cleanup, in collaboration with facility administration and Healthcare Services Group, Inc.

You will supervise dietitians and kitchen staff, schedule work shifts, and oversee payroll and budgeting while upholding safety and quality standards for

• Must have CDM certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience leading a dietary department and overseeing staffing, menus, and prep.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

As a Director of Dining (Certified Dietary Manager), you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality food and nutrition services. As our Director of Dining (Certified Dietary Manager), you'll be responsible for managing the operation of our Dietary Department, including staffing, food ordering, and preparation, food delivery, and clean‑up. You'll collaborate with our facility administration and Healthcare Services Group, Inc. to ensure that our dietary services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the operation of the Dietary Department, including staffing, food ordering, and preparation, food delivery, and clean‑up in accordance with facility policies, physician orders, resident care plans, and appropriate regulations.
• Interview, hire, and orient dietary staff for the dietary department.
• Maintain all cost records
• Purchase food and supplies according to the facility menu and within the budgetary guidelines
• Ensure that sanitation and safety standards are maintained above levels that are acceptable according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensure food is prepared by methods that conserve nutritive value, is palatable and attractive to residents, and of a quality that is acceptable to the resident.
• Supervise the food preparation and service for resident meals according to established menus and standardized recipes.
• Develop, write, and schedule all dietary employees' work schedules.
• Manage daily payroll, scheduling, and budgeting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 0 years of experience in a dietary management role
• Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
