Job summary

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in Rockville, MD seeks a Director of Digital Products and User Experience Design to drive the product vision and lead a multi‑discipline team delivering mobile, community, collaboration, and enterprise search experiences for members and prospective members.

Qualifications

• A.B. or B.S. or relevant professional experience; MBA or CAE preferred.
• Relevant hands-on professional experience managing digital products and teams.
• Continuing education or coursework in product management and association business.

Responsibilities

• Lead product life cycle for select ASHA digital products including mobile, collaboration, enterprise search, online community, board portal, awards software, and live online events; manage design projects with scope, goals, and milestones in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Set the product vision and develop short‑ and long‑term roadmaps to execute; leverage user and market research, industry best practices, and product management methodologies to continuously improve each product.
• Lead ASHA’s enterprise search, community platform, and other digital products; collaborate with subject matter experts and units to enhance and solve product and process issues.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team that includes UX designers and a digital product manager.
• Drive product enhancement efforts with individual business units, IS, and vendors; manage SOWs for digital products and projects.
• Promote and communicate ASHA’s digital collaboration and mobile products to external and internal audiences; facilitate digital collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking for ASHA members on the community platform (community.asha.org).
