Job summary

Air is seeking a dynamic DevOps Director to lead our DevOps and SDETs, shaping CI/CD, automation, and cloud infrastructure for government-grade software delivery. You will define standards, establish scalable pipelines, enforce rigorous security practices, and drive reliability across complex distributed systems.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, or Quality Assurance teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
• 5+ years of people management.
• Strong understanding of microservice architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience leading teams using an Agile development framework.
• Strong analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to ensure highly reliable platform delivery for government customers.
• Lead and mentor a unified team of DevOps and SDETs, guiding from test planning to deployment.
• Organize and manage automation strategies, infrastructure scaling, and release schedules.
• Establish CI/CD, security, and automated testing best practices and standards for the team.
• Develop, maintain, and scale cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and testing suites.
• Oversee the quality of all technical deliverables, including IaC and monitoring.
• Translate business requirements into infrastructure and testing specifications.
• Seek innovation and process improvement opportunities across environments.
• Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers to enhance platform security, quality, and performance.
