University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts for the College of Nursing. You will guide philanthropic strategy, cultivate donors, and collaborate with faculty and leadership to advance mission.

This role emphasizes major gift fundraising, events, and annual giving while partnering with university leadership for a robust donor program. The position requires strategic thinking, exceptional relationship-building, and strong project-management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; combination of education and related experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional fundraising experience or related nonprofit/business development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead major and principal gifts with organizational leadership to ensure donor satisfaction and alignment with the vision.
  • Develop event concepts, messaging and marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Engage high-profile individuals and community leaders to host, chair and advocate for fundraising efforts.
  • Analyze event outcomes and campaigns to inform future strategies and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with ColoradoSPH administrators, faculty and staff to ensure outreach aligns with college priorities.
