Job summary

The University of Denver seeks an Assistant Director of Development to expand philanthropic support for the new integrated college across Education, Social Work, and Professional Psychology. You will manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving and major gift prospects, qualify new donors, and develop strategies with colleagues to drive gifts and impact.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Engagement, you will use email, calls, events, and visits to deepen connections

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3 years of professional experience including donor or relationship-based work.
• Experience with leadership annual giving and major gifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a donor pipeline for leadership annual giving and major gifts.
• Qualify, solicit, and steward prospects across disciplines.
• Maintain accurate donor records and document interactions in CRM.
• Travel within the Front Range to deepen donor connections as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop proposals and strategies for major gifts.
