Job summary

Columbia University School of Nursing is seeking an Associate Director of Development and Industry Partnerships. You will manage a portfolio of major donors and corporate/foundation prospects, design solicitation strategies, and secure significant gifts to support School priorities.

You will collaborate with CUIMC leadership, Grants Management, and Alumni Relations to identify funding opportunities and advance institutional priorities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in development, fundraising, corporate and foundation relations, or related field.
• Experience in higher education, healthcare, or academic medical center preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, strategic planning, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of 50+ major and leadership gifts, focusing on $100,000+ gifts.
• Conduct ~80 donor meetings annually (virtual/phone).
• Develop 15 new major gift proposals yearly aligned with school priorities.
• Lead research efforts to identify prospective funders and prepare donor profiles.
• Coordinate industry engagement events to connect funders with faculty and leadership.
• Maintain Salesforce records and support budgeting, reporting, and stewardship.
