Job summary

Parks & People seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts, aiming to raise $3.5M in annual operating income and to launch an endowment campaign. Qualifications

• Seven+ years of development experience with success in securing major gifts and grants.
• Strong knowledge of the Baltimore philanthropic landscape and donor networks.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate major givers, securing at least $300K annual operating support.
• Administer an outreach, communications and stewardship plan to establish and sustain donor relationships.
• Provide leadership for a $5M endowment campaign: feasibility study, case statement, and growth to $5M by 2029.
• Manage Parks & People’s development staff to ensure fundraising efforts are executed effectively.
• Provide professional development training for the development staff.
• Staff the Board of Directors’ Development Committee with an annual plan and guidance.
• Staff the Board of Directors’ Events Committee with an annual vision and event plan.
• Collaborate with the President & CEO to engage leaders across sectors for support.
• Foster genuine relationships with key stakeholders across Baltimore’s philanthropic landscape.
