Gladden Community House in Columbus, OH seeks a Director of Development & Fundraising to lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivate donor and community relationships, and guide annual and major gifts initiatives. Reporting to the President & CEO, this senior role may involve board collaboration and marketing leadership.

The position requires at least five years in nonprofit development, strong leadership, and a commitment to Gladden's mission and strategic plan in Central Ohio

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, humanities, social sciences, or related discipline, or extensive relevant professional experience.
• At least five years of experience in professional sales, nonprofit business development, community relations, or a related field.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain long-term professional relationships.
• Demonstrated nonprofit experience as an employee or volunteer with mission-driven work.
• Positive, engaging leadership and a collaborative approach.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and relationship-management skills.
• Experience with nonprofit boards, fundraising events, grant writing, proposals, or CRM is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across corporate foundations, annual campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and events.
• Identify, solicit, cultivate, and steward relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, and high-potential donors.
• Collaborate with President/CEO, staff, and leaders to advance fundraising goals.
• Partner with Board of Directors to set priorities, engage members, and report progress.
• Lead marketing and communications to promote Gladden's mission and fundraising initiatives.
• Use data and reporting tools to monitor results, track trends, and guide strategy with CRM.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising practices.
• Represent Gladden at public events and build community partnerships.
• Contribute to strategic direction and potential team leadership.
