Job summary

Good Shepherd Catholic Community seeks a mission-driven Director of Development and Stewardship to lead fundraising and donor stewardship for the parish, guided by the Pastor, Business Manager, and Advancement Foundation. This role oversees hospitality and food-service fundraising programs, fostering welcoming parish experiences while generating revenue.

The position requires nonprofit fundraising experience, strong donor relations skills, and proficiency with donor management systems.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable years of experience.
• Nonprofit fundraising experience preferred, including major gifts and capital campaigns.
• Proficiency in donor management systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Strategic Development Plan with measurable fundraising goals.
• Lead and manage major fundraising programs including capital campaigns and grants.
• Oversee donor recognition and stewardship programs for long-term engagement.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Collaborate with Advancement Foundation and track activity in donor databases.
