Job summary

Cincinnati Nature Center seeks an experienced fundraising leader to direct the Development Team and drive all fundraising activities, including strategy development, donor engagement, and capital campaigns. The role reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with a broad Leadership Team to advance the organization's mission.

Ideal candidates bring extensive nonprofit fundraising leadership, data-driven decision making, strong communication skills, and a passion for nature.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years senior leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising and development overseeing multiple direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of fundraising strategies and ability to use data analytics to support decision making.
• Experience working with consultants and engaging donors, volunteers, and board members.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of all development and fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and Leadership Team to align fundraising with organizational goals.
• Report fundraising results to staff, volunteers, and board committees with accuracy and timeliness.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations; manage campaigns and endowment initiatives.
• Lead capital campaigns and oversee annual giving, grants, sponsorships, and corporate relationships.
