Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago Department of Dermatology seeks a Director of Administrative Operations to oversee financial, regulatory, and business activities within the unit. This role manages budgeting, grants, human resources, and facilities, coordinating across departments and external partners.

Under minimal supervision, you will drive strategic plans, monitor contracts, and oversee grants from pre- to post-award, ensuring compliance and efficient operations in a dynamic academic medical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Management or in a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of administrative/management experience.
• Strong interpersonal, management and communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop the annual budget, including providing monthly financial reporting and forecasting.
• Lead strategic plans and administrative direction of the unit.
• Oversee the operational payment structure, monitor payments and patient billing per contracts and insurance.
• Coordinate grants management and reporting of expenditures and awards.
