Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a highly experienced Data Platform Lead to guide engineers through the next scale. You will own delivery, technical direction, and team health while shaping the roadmap for the data platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing engineers, including senior ICs or tech leads, with a track record of scaling teams.
• Experience building/scaling data platform/infrastructure in production environments.
• Strong software engineering background with depth to set technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers building and operating the company's data platform.
• Set the roadmap and technical strategy for your sub area with hands-on leadership.
• Drive reliability, scalability, and forward strategy as adoption grows across org.
• Hire, grow, and coach engineers and tech leads to build a high-performing team.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, Finance, and Engineering to identify priorities and drive alignment.
• Make sound build-vs-buy decisions and manage platform vendors as needed.
• Keep delivery predictable balancing near-term work with long-term investments.
