Job summary

IGT seeks a Director of Data Governance to build and lead our enterprise-wide governance program. You will establish policies, standards, and an operating framework ensuring data accuracy, security, and trust across the organization.

You will partner with IT, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to shape strategy, improve data quality, and drive governance adoption while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data-related field required or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in data management/governance with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven ability to design/implement enterprise governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data quality, metadata, and MDM concepts.
• Experience with governance platforms: Collibra/Alation/Informatica/Atlan.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and modern data tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the enterprise data governance framework, including policies and standards.
• Chair the Data Governance Council with cross-functional partners.
• Build and lead a high-performing data governance team.
• Collaborate with data engineering/IT to optimize catalogs, metadata, and lineage.
• Define and report data quality metrics and governance KPIs to executives.
• Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulatory requirements.
• Lead Master Data Management initiatives and golden records.
• Develop training and change-management programs for governance adoption.
• Stay current on governance tech trends and regulatory changes.
