Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in data management, analytics, or data engineering with governance exposure.
• Hands-on governance involvement in councils or stewardship programs.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Kafka, cloud-native databases.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data catalogs, and data lineage concepts.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meetings of the Data Governance Council with senior leadership.
• Prepare governance proposals and impact assessments for review.
• Support prioritization of governance initiatives and translate decisions into policies.
• Drive governance adoption through collaboration, influence, and education.
• Implement and evolve the enterprise governance framework aligned to DAMA DMBOK principles.
• Develop data policies, standards on quality, access, retention, classification, and lineage.
• Define data ownership and stewardship models across priority domains.
• Create governance playbooks, procedures, and training materials.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics to implement metadata management.
• Support data lineage visibility across Databricks, Kafka, and cloud databases.
• Govern streaming and event-driven data pipelines governance.
