Job summary

IGT is seeking a Director of Data Architecture in Las Vegas to lead the enterprise data vision, strategy, and governance across Databricks and AWS. You will set standards and best practices enabling Data Engineering, BI, and Data Science teams to deliver secure, scalable data solutions.

You will mentor a team of data architects and engineers, partner with security and governance leaders, and drive modernization including AI/ML readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Architecture or Senior Data Engineering in cloud environments
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, and cloud data architecture
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data lifecycle principles
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive standards across teams

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise data architecture strategy across Databricks and AWS
• Develop scalable data ingestion, transformation, and serving architectures
• Establish data modeling standards, data contracts, and schema management
• Partner with Data Engineering, BI, Data Science, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security teams
• Design and govern secure, scalable cloud environments across dev/stage/prod
• Establish governance for configuration, access, secrets, and resource usage
• Guide architecture for structured/unstructured data and AI/ML initiatives
• Mentor and lead a team of data architects and engineers
• Create architecture documentation and reference designs
• Ensure compliance with data quality, lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements
