Job summary

Georgia Ports Authority is seeking a General Manager of Equipment Engineering and Maintenance to lead crane maintenance programs across GPA’s fleet, including STS, RTG, RMG, and mobile harbor cranes. You will manage engineering and maintenance staff, drive safety, and align with GPA's strategic objectives for reliability and efficiency.

You will oversee budget control, performance metrics, and vendor relationships while coordinating with internal customers and cross-functional teams to ensure

Qualifications

Extensive experience with project management, design, installation, retrofit, and commissioning of crane electrical and mechanical systems.
10+ years mechanical and electrical experience with maintenance and repair of port-related or similar equipment.
Bachelor's degree required; electrical engineering preferred or related field.

Responsibilities

Identify resources needed for maintenance of STS, RTG, RMG, and mobile crane equipment.
Develop maintenance and best practice programs with department managers.
Assist in design and retrofit of crane equipment to meet operational needs.
Establish and monitor budget related to cranes and equipment.
Lead monthly reviews with internal customers and other GPA departments.
