Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressively responsible ship-to-shore (STS) cranes, RTG cranes, and spreader repair experience.
• Experience leading large teams in a port environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical systems and crane control systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement Port Houston policies for crane operation and maintenance.
• Lead and supervise a large group of skilled craftsmen in STS/RTG crane maintenance.
• Communicate planned and emergency maintenance with stakeholders and vendors.
• Oversee crane maintenance activities, records, and capital purchases.
• Ensure environmental and safety compliance with Port Houston standards and federal regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance data and trends.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments on crane-related projects.
