Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff, inmates, and the public.
• Defend oneself against attack by violent individuals.
• Work under stressful conditions in a custody environment.
• Conduct surveillance of assigned work area.
• Prepare accurate written reports reflecting reviewed information.
• Instruct inmates in safe use of tools and equipment.
• Review and analyze documents and behavioral data.
• Perform crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
• Manage supplies and equipment.
• Implement and manage correctional programs.
