Clearway Energy is seeking a Director of Controls and SCADA Engineering to lead strategy, design, deployment, and lifecycle management of plant control systems and SCADA across our solar, wind, and battery storage portfolio.

You will guide engineering standards, architectures, and technology strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and optimized generation assets while meeting grid interconnection and regulatory obligations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in controls engineering, SCADA, industrial automation, power generation, or related fields.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams or multidisciplinary resources.
• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy: solar, wind, and battery storage.
• Experience supporting both new-build projects and operating assets.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement controls and SCADA strategy for development pipeline and operating fleet.
• Lead control strategy for multi-resource facilities serving data centers behind a POI.
• Manage a team responsible for scope, design reviews, commissioning, and troubleshooting of projects.
• Define development and training programs for Controls and SCADA engineers.
• Coordinate with Development, Project Engineering, Commissioning, O&M, and IT for fleet-wide activities.
• Write requirements for Plant Controller upgrades to meet compliance and optimize energy capture.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement fleet-wide improvements.
• Maintain configuration databases for control software, firmware, and relay settings.
