Job summary

DESRI seeks a talented Manager to lead its Engineering and BESS team in SCADA system design, integration, and implementation across renewable energy projects. You will oversee SCADA and controls integration for utility-scale solar and battery storage, defining specs, and coordinating with EPCs, IT, and Asset teams to ensure secure, scalable operations.

You will collaborate on integration strategies with EMS, BMS, and plant controllers, maintain documentation, and support FATs and commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Five+ years of experience in SCADA, controls, or power systems integration.
• Experience with utility-scale battery storage systems and familiarity with EMS, BMS, PCS, and plant controllers.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA architectures, industrial protocols, data management, and testing/commissioning.
• Familiarity with NERC/CIP, cybersecurity, and telemetry requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support SCADA and controls integration for utility-scale battery storage projects.
• Perform detailed SCADA design reviews and define technical specifications.
• Support EPC scoping and vendor selection for controls and monitoring systems.
• Develop integration strategies connecting battery systems with EMS, plant controllers, and central monitoring platform.
• Collaborate with EPCs during FAT and site commissioning to verify interfaces and performance.
