Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking a Director of Construction to join the Project Delivery team from the DEPCOM Power portfolio. The role can be based remotely within the United States with 50% travel to project sites and the DEPCOM Power office as needed.

The position oversees the successful execution of multiple large-scale solar energy projects, requiring strong project and construction management, team leadership, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Construction experience developing and leading teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Proficient with project management software.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and cost control.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the execution of a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects, ensuring safety, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
• Provide strategic oversight on contracting strategy, subcontractor models, schedule risk management, and proactive mitigation of critical path constraints to optimize portfolio performance.
• Mentor and develop the project team using PBM frameworks and regular feedback.
• Drive safety, environmental stewardship, accountability and continuous improvement with robust quality standards.
• Manage budget development, monitor expenditures, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure transparent and timely reporting of project performance to leadership and stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends and implement innovative strategies to improve delivery and efficiency.
