Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Director of Conflicts to partner with Risk Management and the General Counsel to ensure timely conflict resolution and risk mitigation. The role emphasizes process improvement, training, and cross-functional collaboration across the firm’s offices.

The ideal candidate has extensive conflicts experience, strong leadership, and an ability to drive policy and system changes in a flexible, remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; JD strongly preferred but not required.
• Extensive legal conflicts experience within a law firm environment.
• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible, supervisory experience.
• Subject matter expertise in legal ethics and conflicts rules.
• Experience leading multi-office initiatives in a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement best practices in conflicts management and intake.
• Oversee conflicts processes, new client matter forms, and risk controls.
• Develop and enforce firm-wide policies on conflicts and risk.
• Manage department budget and oversee projects to meet objectives.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to the Conflicts team.
• Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, Accounting, and managing directors.
