Job summary

Monroe Group is seeking a dynamic Director of Compliance to lead our compliance department and oversee the corporate compliance staff across its portfolio of affordable housing properties. The role focuses on Section 8 and LIHTC compliance, guidance to Property Management staff, and serving as the primary contact with HUD and State Agencies.

The position reports to General Counsel and is based out of the Denver Corporate Office, with required travel up to 35%.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Project-Based Section 8 and LIHTC regulations for residential properties.
• Ability to lead a team and manage a compliance staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance for all properties in the portfolio, including monitoring updates to regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for HUD and State Compliance Agencies.
• Coordinate documentation for reviews and ensure timely responses to audits.
