Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Madison seeks a creative, dynamic Community Relations Director to lead antisemitism response, advocacy, and community relations in Dane County. You will build partnerships with government, schools, interfaith groups, and law enforcement while expanding educational and engagement programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public policy, government, Jewish studies, communications, social work, or related field a plus.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in community relations, public affairs, government affairs, advocacy, or nonprofit leadership.
• Strong understanding of contemporary antisemitism, Jewish communal priorities, and Israel advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary local contact on antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Israel activity affecting Jewish individuals and institutions.
• Monitor local and statewide antisemitic incidents and trends, with reporting for JFNA funding requirements.
• Develop and deliver education and training for K–12 schools, universities, employers, and community groups.
• Build relationships with school leaders, university officials, and other stakeholders to address Jewish inclusion and antisemitism.
• Collaborate with partners on safety, security, and policy advocacy affecting the Jewish community.
