Job summary

Westside Justice Center is seeking a Director of Program Services to oversee program implementation, training, outreach, monitoring, and reporting, and to collaborate with partner organizations for all programs outside of our legal services.

This role demands 5–10 years in nonprofit, philanthropy, or public-sector programs dedicated to legal services and/or community justice, plus a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in nonprofit, philanthropy, or public-sector programs dedicated to legal services and/or community justice.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in program management and supervising others across multiple team members.
• Experience with equity-focused or community-centered grantmaking.
• Proven ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: build and sustain relationships with colleagues, community leaders, and organizations.
• Advocacy: promote policy goals and engage external partners to influence systems and budgets.
• Program Responsibilities: design and refine grantmaking strategies and plan future programs.
• Supports the selection process: conduct due diligence and coordinate grant reviews.
• Supervises monitoring/evaluation: ensure data, site visits, and reporting to funders.
• Supervises subrecipients: coordinate monthly meetings and distribute resources.
