Job summary

Community Legal Aid SoCal seeks a Director of Access to Justice to lead non-case handling programs across SHLAC, EDPP, Small Claims, and new initiatives. This full-time exempt role reports to the Director of Legal Services and drives program strategy and impact.

The position requires a JD, CA Bar membership, and extensive leadership experience in legal services, with a focus on collaboration, compliance, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active California Bar membership required.
• Minimum 8 years as an attorney and 3+ years supervising staff.
• Travel frequently within service area for representation and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for non-case handling access-to-justice programs.
• Supervise and develop supervising attorneys and program staff.
• Collaborate on strategic planning and partnerships.
• Serve as liaison with courts, bar associations, and government agencies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance and funding.
