Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Director of Community Relations to lead regional growth by cultivating relationships with families, schools, officials, and business leaders. This on-site role in multiple cities involves designing and hosting events, recruiting parent ambassadors, and driving enrollment through referrals.

You will manage budgets, track activities in a CRM, and collaborate with marketing, admissions and other teams. Regular travel and evening/weekend hosting are expected.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience growing a community or client base through relationships with measurable results.
• Experience designing and running at least 20 gatherings, including events with 100+ attendees and smaller gatherings, with budget responsibility.
• Established relationships with three or more public officials, executives, or leaders with demonstrable outcomes.
• One of the following: Ivy League degree; top-tier consulting/investment banking/PR firm; board seat at a local anchor institution; Chief of Staff with leaders; or directed foreign service tours.
• CRM or relationship-tracking system is used to log contacts, first hearing sources, follow-ups and actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver multiple gatherings monthly, including open events, city/grade dinners, and family retreats, within budget.
• Secure venues, hosts, and vendors; personally host events.
• Recruit and mobilize parent ambassadors; connect families with prospective families and school tours.
• Build relationships with officials and business leaders to secure venues and support campus openings.
• Connect families with mentors, masterclasses, and internships; welcome graduates to alumni network within 30 days of graduation.
• Record all gatherings and introductions in the CRM with outcomes and sources.
