Job summary

Safe Haven, Northwest Community Action Center in Toppenish, WA is hiring a Program Coordinator I to lead staff development, recruit and onboard personnel, and help run multi-faceted community health programs. Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or Medical Office Administration.
• Two years’ experience includes working in an office environment, programs, non-profit, and/or social services (may substitute for required education).
• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields preferred.
• One year’s experience in an office environment, programs, non-profit, and/or social services preferred.
• May require program-specific certification post-employment.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency at Level 10 preferred.
• Eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation with ALTA score of 10.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Strong event planning skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong relationship building skills with the ability to establish and maintain partnerships in the community.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel and have reliable transportation, with occasional overnight stays.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coaches, mentors, and trains direct report staff to goal attainment. Provides performance management and evaluations.
• Supports staff growth and development; identifies training needs and creates action plans.
• Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff; onboards new employees and orients them to policies and procedures.
• Assists in creating, maintaining, and implementing program workflows and procedures; suggests improvements for effectiveness.
• Oversees program compliance; reviews grant requirements and responds to external inquiries.
• Delivers direct services to patients and community participants, including outreach and seminars.
• Manages program budget and ensures expenditures are allowable and reasonable.
• Monitors progress and impact of programs; reports outcomes.
• Coordinates seminars/workshops for parents and community partners; facilitates welcoming environments.
• Collaborates with clinics and community partners to serve clients; fosters cultural awareness.
• Maintains positive, inclusive work environment and drives quality and customer satisfaction improvements.
• Tomando Master Trainer duties if assigned: train and support Health Education Class Facilitators; maintain Tomando Master Trainer Certification.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
