Job summary

Insurance Office of America in the United States is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to act as national subject matter expert in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance and agency operations. This role partners with divisional and regional leadership to advance objectives, optimize operational scalability, and strengthen performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with root cause analysis and sustainable process improvements.
• Workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integration initiatives.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.
• Analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lines strategy: Partner with leadership to develop initiatives improving operations and performance.
• Operational excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions for efficiency and quality.
• Workflow standardization: Promote standardized workflows and best practices across the org.
• Process optimization: Lead improvements to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Root cause analysis: Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Workforce planning: Analyze staffing and workload to support growth.
• Managed Services alignment: Coordinate with teams to optimize resource use.
• Technical expertise: Serve as national Commercial P&C SME on operations and tech.
• M&A integration support: Assist with integration planning and workflow alignment.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Build partnerships to drive engagement and results.
• Systems & technology optimization: Enhance EPIC and related tools for performance.
• Performance analysis: Use metrics to drive improvements.
