Job summary

KLDiscovery is seeking a Director of Software Engineering for Nebula, the cloud-based eDiscovery platform. You will lead managers and engineers to deliver the Nebula roadmap with speed and reliability at scale.

Partner with Product, Design, and executives to translate business goals into technical strategy, while owning headcount planning, budgets, and hiring for a remote, US-based team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
• Experience shipping SaaS products on major cloud platform
• Experience delivering AI/ML features to production
• Fluency in modern delivery practice: agile at scale, CI/CD, automated testing, observability
• Demonstrated success hiring and developing engineering leaders in remote or distributed org
• Clear, direct communication with executives and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Delivery and execution of Nebula development lifecycle from planning to release
• Advance multi-tenant cloud platform architecture and scalability
• Partner with Product and research to productionize AI features with guardrails and security reviews
• Lead and develop engineering managers and senior ICs; manage org design and growth
• Act as engineering voice for Nebula with executives, Product Marketing, and Client Services
• Own headcount planning, third-party tech relationships, and engineering budget
