Job summary

KLDiscovery is seeking a Director of Software Engineering for Nebula, its flagship cloud-based eDiscovery platform. You will lead a team of engineers and managers, driving end-to-end delivery of the Nebula roadmap, ensuring performance and reliability at scale, and shaping the team culture and org design.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and leadership to align technical strategy with business objectives.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
Track record shipping and operating commercial SaaS on major cloud platforms
Experience delivering AI/ML-powered features to production or with teams that did
Fluency in agile at scale, CI/CD, automated testing, observability
Experience hiring and developing engineering leaders in remote/distributed orgs
Clear communication with executives and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in CS or related field (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

Lead Nebula development lifecycle end-to-end: planning, sprint, releases, QA
Improve platform architecture for multi-tenant scalability and reliability
Partner with Product and research to bring AI features from prototype to production
Hire, coach, and grow engineering managers and senior ICs
Translate business objectives into technical strategy for the teams
Own headcount planning, tech relationships, and engineering budget with monthly forecast
