Job summary

Longleaf Behavioral Health Hospital in Alexandria, LA seeks an experienced licensed behavioral health professional to serve as Director of Clinical Services. The role leads clinical excellence, oversees multidisciplinary teams, and guides evidence-based program implementation while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The DCS will champion fidelity to best practices, manage staff development, and collaborate with facility leadership to align services with hospital goals.

Qualifications

• License-bearing Master’s or Doctorate degree in Behavioral or Mental Health (e.g., MSW, MA in marriage and family, MA in professional counseling, PhD in Clinical, Counseling, or Educational Psychology), or PsyD.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with clinical population of the facility required.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, CARF) and experience ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to clinical teams including therapists and social workers.
• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, including budget management and program development.
• Promote a culture of accountability, quality care, and collaboration across departments.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical staff with fidelity to evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement clinical programs based on evidence-based models and monitor outcomes.
