Job summary

Vetter Senior Living is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Informatics to strengthen clinical documentation, support compliance, and advance the use of health IT across our organization. This RN-led leadership role provides strategic oversight of documentation, coding, and EHR utilization, partnering with clinical and administrative teams to drive standardization and quality care.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding principles and documentation standards.
• Experience with electronic health record platforms in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to analyze clinical workflows and implement system-based solutions.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to various locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and promote accurate ICD-10 diagnosis coding throughout the organization.
• Act as the primary clinical resource for electronic health record systems and related documentation processes.
• Evaluate documentation practices, coding procedures, and EHR utilization to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct audits to support compliance, coding accuracy, and quality outcomes.
• Deliver education, training, and individualized coaching for clinical leaders and care teams.
• Collaborate with reimbursement, billing, and operations partners to address documentation and coding concerns.
• Provide guidance regarding regulatory requirements, software enhancements, and industry best practices.
• Lead initiatives focused on workflow improvement, standardization, and operational effectiveness.
• Foster collaborative relationships that promote communication, accountability, and clinical excellence across all communities.
