Base pay range

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Engineering for a leading healthcare facility located in Zanesville, OH. This role is ideal for a high-level leader with deep expertise in biomedical services, clinical equipment maintenance, and process improvement within a large healthcare system. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinical engineering program, including leadership of technical professionals and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the clinical engineering program, ensuring maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment.
• Lead a team of supervisors and technical professionals, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
• Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service quality.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to align biomedical services with patient care goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO).
• Manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within Healthcare Technology Management (HTM).
• Provide oversight for capital planning, project management, and financial performance.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing biomedical services within a large healthcare system.
• Proven experience collaborating with executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders to align HTM strategies with organizational goals.
• Working knowledge of CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards.
• Strong business acumen, decision-making skills, and budget management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent client relationship skills and ability to work with clinical and technical staff effectively.

• Advanced certifications in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM).
• Experience in capital project management within healthcare settings.
