Job summary

New York Racing Association is seeking a Cleaning Manager to oversee our Cleaning Operations at Belmont and Saratoga. You will supervise a team of cleaning staff and supervisors, ensuring high standards of cleanliness across tracks, dorms and offices.

The role requires 5–7 years of management experience in cleaning services, a hands-on leadership style, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency. This is a regular full‑time, on‑site position with labor relations oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of management experience in cleaning services, housekeeping or facilities management.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred; associates or some college acceptable with experience.
• A self-starting, goal-oriented leader with hands-on management style.

Responsibilities

• Lead cleaning supervision and staff daily to maintain clean, well‑kept areas.
• Coordinate work among supervisors to cover all facilities and housing.
• Ensure quality assurance measures are applied and met across sites.
• Adjust staffing to meet guest service, operations and budget goals.
• Ensure supplies, uniforms and equipment are available for daily work.
• Respond to cleaning requests and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Focus on guest satisfaction and continuous improvement.
• Direct supervisors to prepare facilities for racing seasons at Belmont and Saratoga.
• Manage a union/non-union workforce (>50 employees) and handle labor relations per CBA/MOA.
• Ensure OSHA and safety regulations compliance; schedule shifts and manage payroll approvals.
