Ideal candidate has PE license, 10+ years in civil/site and proficiency with Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• 10+ years in civil/site engineering and land development.
• Experience with site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management and permitting.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D.
• Experience managing projects and mentoring technical staff.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects, coordinate resources, and make sound technical decisions.
• Interest in building and growing a small engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for industrial and commercial development.
• Oversee site planning, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and permitting.
• Direct civil design and documentation using Civil 3D.
• Coordinate surveying, geotechnical services, regulatory approvals, and outside consultants.
• Build and develop internal civil engineering capabilities, including hiring and mentoring staff.
• Oversee resources, project schedules, workloads, and technical quality; collaborate with other disciplines.
• Establish engineering standards, improve workflows, and guide long-term direction of the studio.
