Job Summary
Working as the Catering Sales Director, you will coordinate and oversee all internal and external catering events. You will be responsible for menu development, costing, marketing, labor and food cost control, event operations, and sales financials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and develop managers; develop service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
• Create reports on operating statements and budgets; review receivables collection.
• Plan and direct catering activities and functions.
• Create proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
• Ensure safety and sanitation procedures comply with HACCP standards.
• Maintain client database; build and sustain vendor relationships.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record of meeting sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining service points.
• 5-8 years in hospitality, including 3 years in catering sales.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
• Ability to assess client requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Ability to write menu proposals with chefs.
• Supervise food prep, service, and cleanup.
• Knowledge of A/V equipment for events.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and adaptability.
• Advanced computer skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, calm under pressure, with high integrity and customer service skills.
