Salary: $60,000 to $70,000

Job Summary

As the Director of Catering Sales at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, you will coordinate and oversee all catering events, develop menus, manage costs, and handle marketing, labor, and food costs. You will oversee event operations and sales financials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and develop managers; improve service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare reports on operational statements and budgets; review receivables.
• Manage catering activities, bookings, and event planning.
• Create proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
• Ensure safety and sanitation in compliance with HACCP.
• Maintain client database and vendor relationships.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven sales achievement record.
• Knowledge of current food trends and fine dining service.
• 5-8 years in hospitality, including 3 in catering sales.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
• Ability to assess client needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Ability to write menu proposals with chefs.
• Supervision of food prep, service, and cleanup.
• Knowledge of A/V equipment for events.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
• High standards of integrity and ethics.
• Exceptional client relations and customer service skills.
