Job summary

American Osteopathic Association seeks a Director, Candidate and Diplomate Experiences to lead Certifying Board Services. You will direct a team providing candidate and diplomate support, case and ticket management, and ensure service excellence with governance and policy alignment.

The role combines board liaison duties with leadership of a shared Specialist function, focusing on outcomes, staffing, and continuous improvement across certification programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• Seven to ten years in certification, credentialing, association management, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Experience liaising with boards, committees, or volunteer leadership groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shared Specialist function with a four-to-six person team, ensuring timely service and quality.
• Serve as staff liaison to certifying boards and committees, aligning outcomes with policy.
• Oversee certification support services for candidates, diplomates, and stakeholders.
• Manage operational activities for initial, continuous, and recertification programs.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive process improvements across functions.
