Job summary

Ascend Analytics in Boulder, CO is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead sales and strategy for our Market Intelligence services and BatterySIMM platform, serving financial sector clients in the renewable energy space.

You will manage the full sales cycle, build relationships with lenders, PE, pensions, and other investors, and help expand into non-US markets; located in CO with option for remote for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 6–8 years in business development or sales, in finance or energy.
• Excellent oral and written communication; translate analytics into value.
• Ability to develop collateral translating service differentiators.
• Interest in leading edge of quantitative energy analysis.
• Professional presentation; positive attitude; passion for clean energy market transformation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect financial industry clients (lenders, private equity, venture capital, pensions, etc.) in renewables.
• Manage sales funnel with forecasting, resource allocation, strategy, planning.
• Negotiate and close contracts for Market Intelligence subscriptions and services.
• Develop and maintain key customers via CRM.
• Create presentations and proposals; demonstrate Ascend’s value proposition.
• Communicate advantages to the financial services sector; support expansion into new markets.
