A leading renewable energy company with a national footprint is growing its Business Development team. The company develops, acquires, and manages utility-scale and community solar projects across key U.S. markets and is known for its financial innovation and strong execution track record.
This is an analytical role at the center of the company's deal activity. The Business Development Analyst supports origination and acquisition teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial screening through closing. The right candidate brings at least one year of relevant experience and is ready to contribute independently from day one.
Build and run financial models to evaluate project viability and assess risk through sensitivity analysis. Support investment thesis development, opportunity screening, and due diligence across active markets. Conduct market research and develop price forecasts, including challenging third-party reports and contributing to a company-wide market view. Track leads and produce pipeline reports using internal project management and CRM tools. Communicate analytical findings clearly to sales, senior leadership, and external partners including consultants and engineers.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, renewable energy, or a related field. One to two years of experience in renewable energy, project finance, infrastructure, or a comparable analytical role. Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency. Familiarity with project finance concepts and key performance indicators. Background in solar, community solar, or clean energy development is a meaningful plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
