Job summary

Ascend Analytics seeks an Energy Analyst or Senior Energy Analyst to join PowerVAL. Preference for the Boulder office, with remote work possible for highly experienced candidates. Visa sponsorship is not available.

You will lead quantitative analysis, deliver revenue forecasts and asset valuations, and provide risk management support for energy projects. Strong skills in energy modeling and Python/R are expected; Master’s/PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years energy experience; 5+ years for Senior Analyst
• Knowledge of energy modeling methods
• Experience working with clients and team

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative analysis and deliver on-time results to clients
• Provide clients with expertise in analytic modeling for revenue forecasts, asset valuation, risk management, and renewable integration
• Devise new approaches to represent results for decision analysis
• Assimilate complex information into reports and presentations
• Perform in-depth analysis of power market operations
• Solve complex analytic problems for energy supply decisions
• Serve as technical resource for scoping, building, deploying, and launch activities
