For 17 years, we have built a legacy of excellence, and as we continue to grow, we are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive sales growth, strengthen retailer relationships, and expand our presence across the U.S.

Position Overview

This role is fully remote with extensive travel (120+ days per year) to develop new and existing retail partnerships, manage high-value client relationships, and represent MICHAEL M at key industry events. The ideal candidate has a strong book of business in the fine jewelry industry, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to drive brand expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Growth: Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow retail partnerships and sales.
  • Retail Relationships: Leverage existing industry relationships to expand MICHAEL M’s footprint.
  • Market Strategy: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Represent MICHAEL M at Couture, Centurion, and other key industry events.
  • Brand Development: Cultivate a network of top-tier retail professionals and provide ongoing product training.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of fine jewelry B2B sales experience with strong retailer relationships.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage high-net-worth clientele.
  • Self-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (120+ days per year).
  • Gemology certification (GG preferred) and deep jewelry craftsmanship knowledge are a plus.
  • Competitive base salary ($205,640 - $251,500)
