About the Hiring Group

RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS), a business unit of RTI International, is an independent and internationally recognized research organization. We provide healthcare consulting and research expertise to optimize decision-making for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device products across the development and marketing life cycle. Clients rely on our expertise, quality standards, and integrity to guide their product development and regulatory and market access strategies. Our service groupings include Value, Access, and HEOR; Patient-Centered and Outcomes Research; Epidemiology and Biostatistics; Medical Communications; Global Business Operations; and Strategic Consulting and Growth. RTI-HS has office locations in the US, UK, Spain, France, and Sweden.

Working from your remote office, preferably located in Northeast United States but open to other locations, you will provide business development expertise to build and strengthen relationships across RTI-HS targeted clients. Ideally, you are a highly independent, self-starter who is able to nurture existing business and identify new opportunities with minimal direction and management.

Your goal will be to increase awareness of RTI-HS services, generate RFPs convert them to project awards, with a focus on our global pharma and biotech clients and across all of our provided services, including:

  • Patient-Reported Outcomes
  • Market Access
  • Health Preference Assessment
  • Survey and Observational Studies
  • Epidemiology, Safety and Biostatistics

What You'll Do

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities at both new and existing pharma, biotechnology, diagnostic and medical device client companies, Acquire RFPs, Win contracts.
  • Lead a Trusted Strategic Partner mindset with clients and internal team
  • Work closely with our practice areas to develop strategies for presenting services to clients, increase the business development activities and ultimately win new work.
  • Develop and execute highly focused, comprehensive Strategic Account Plans
  • Identify opportunities, then coordinate and lead presentations of our capabilities to new and existing clients.
  • Establish and manage relationships with procurement groups within client base
  • Represent the company at professional conferences.
  • Assist in collecting information on clients and contacts in the CRM system, and then contribute to optimizing strategies for client outreach and targeting.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • The ability to quickly build relationships internally and externally and establish credibility.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial skills.
  • Superb oral & written communications and interpersonal skills.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in health related or business management fields.
  • 10+ year's successful and progressive business development experience, with a proven track record selling health outcomes services.
  • Demonstrated success as a business development professional with in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with members of the business development and technical teams in the best interest of the client and the company
  • Demonstrated experience providing health outcomes services to pharmaceutical clients, either as a consultant or as an employee at a pharma company, is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive in new requests for proposals and convert them to wins.
  • Extensive relationships in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States. RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element to our offer.
