The Role: Director of Business Development

Location: Santa Cruz, CA (100% Remote)

We're hiring a Head of Business Development in San Jose to drive growth and expand our Bay Area presence. You'll build relationships with key decision-makers in commercial development, property management and SMB ownership- as well as spearhead the process, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

To succeed, you must be a proven self-starter who thrives with minimal oversight. You'll identify and pursue top opportunities, refine our lead generation strategy, and enhance our sales processes. You'll have the support of a dedicated sale development rep with deep industry knowledge, admin assistance, and top tier customer service. As the company scales, you'll hire and train others to replicate your process in other geographic areas. What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of Sales or Business Development experience-you know how to prospect, pitch, and close.
  • Exceptional communication skills-you can clearly explain our technology to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Lead generation expertise-you understand different channels, their strengths, and how to optimize them.
  • Full sales cycle-you have the breadth of ability to run the sales cycle from initial contact through close
  • Strategic mindset-you refine our lead-gen strategy and provide strategic direction as key member of the management team
  • Process builder-you implement replicable tools and workflows to move leads efficiently through the pipeline.
  • Sales asset contributor-you provide feedback to improve marketing and sales materials.
  • Highly organized self-starter-you manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Strong business acumen-you engage professionally with business owners and managers.
  • Problem solver-you analyze challenges and find solutions quickly.
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation-you'll be meeting clients in person throughout the bay area
