Job Title: Director, Business Development
Location: Metro New York City Area – Fully Remote Position
Compensation: $150,000/yr to $180,000/yr base salary not including bonus

Based in Toronto, Canada, we cater to a diverse customer base ranging from Indie to Global Cosmetic Brands. With expertise in both stock and custom packaging, we offer comprehensive solutions from package to formula to finished goods, ensuring our clients receive tailored products that meet their specific needs and market demands.
Job Description:
As the Director of Sales for Cosmetic Products at Crystal, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing relationships with our esteemed clientele. Your primary focus will be on nurturing existing customer relationships, fostering trust, and identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration. You will work closely with internal teams at the factory level, as well as engage with various stakeholders within our client organizations, including sourcing, product development, package development, and operations teams. The position is fully remote and will require local travel to customers as well as as-needed travel to both Toronto and relevant industry events, trade shows, etc. The ideal Director of Sales candidate is an assertive, self-motived and entrepreneurial team leader with a proven track record of selling color cosmetics, complexion and skincare formulas in the Contract Manufacturing space.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across all levels of their organizations including: product development, R&I, sourcing, packaging and operations, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
2.Customer Development: Understand the unique needs and goals of each client, and proactively identify opportunities to expand our offerings and deepen our partnerships.
3.Client Acquisition: While prioritizing existing client relationships, actively seek opportunities to onboard new customers who align with our company's values and capabilities.
4.Strategic Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
5.In-Person Meetings and Presentations: Plan and conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and product / package demonstrations to showcase our capabilities and solutions effectively.
6.Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to stay updated on industry developments, expand your professional network, and represent Crystal in the marketplace.
7.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Toronto Based internal teams, including Account Managers, production, R&D, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of client projects and alignment with customer expectations.
8.Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and packaging initiatives and enhance our competitive positioning.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
•Possess a network of established relationships at relevant beauty brands.
•Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the cosmetics industry, with a focus on contract manufacturing or related segments.
•10+ years’ experience in Beauty sales in color or skincare in the formula, packaging or tunkey categories.
•Deep understanding of cosmetic products, contract manufacturing processes and packaging solutions.
•Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.
•Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the agility to adapt to evolving market dynamics.
•Demonstrated ability to cultivate long-term client relationships and drive revenue growth through innovative solutions and value-added services.
•Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; ability to develop C-level relationships with customers.
•Self-motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, able to multi-task, plan effectively and lead internal cross-functional teams.
•Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, industry events, and tradeshows.
