Compensation: $150,000+ base salary | 50/50 split OTE

This role offers a high-impact opportunity to join at the ground floor of a newly created business line and make an immediate difference.

About the Role

The company is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead new ISV partner acquisition efforts. This is an individual contributor position with full ownership of outbound sales, from prospecting to contract execution. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the payments and SaaS ecosystems, thrives in a high-autonomy environment, and excels at building strategic relationships with software providers.

Responsibilities

  • Source, engage, and close new ISV partnerships to support the go-to-market strategy
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from outbound prospecting to deal negotiation and closure
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality ISV prospects
  • Develop tailored pitches and proposals aligned to each partner’s needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, and executive teams to structure and finalize deals
  • Provide market insights and partner feedback to inform product and commercial strategy

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in business development, partnerships, or sales within payments or SaaS
  • Demonstrated success in closing complex deals with software platforms
  • Deep knowledge of embedded payments, payfac, and the broader payments ecosystem
  • Strategic thinker with strong tactical sales execution abilities
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable in fast-paced, unstructured environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
