Job summary

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation in Fremont, CA seeks a full-time Program Director to oversee patient programs, budgeting, and staff coordination at the Fremont location, with flexibility for the San Leandro satellite. You will manage mastectomy fitter staff, insurance processes, and program outcomes to support patients and survivors.

The role requires a CMF certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) and 4–6 years in healthcare/nonprofit program management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience managing programs in a healthcare or nonprofit setting, with preference for oncology, women’s health, or clinic management.
• Active CMF certification through ABC; if not certified, obtain within 6 months of hire. Costs covered by the Foundation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of patient programs and services to ensure best outcomes while sustaining programs.
• Manage staff including Breast Care Specialists, Support Specialists, Medical Receptionists, and an Insurance Authorization Specialist.
• Coordinate budgeting, vendor relations, insurance billing, and staff scheduling to meet annual revenue targets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA) and maintain patient health records and inventory systems.
• Prepare program reporting, metrics, and participate in Foundation Board meetings bi-monthly.
