University of Vermont Foundation & Alumni Association seeks a Director of Board & Presidential Relations to serve as the primary staff liaison to the Foundation Board and Leadership Council. The role drives governance, engagement, and philanthropic leadership for senior volunteers in coordination with the President & CEO and VP of Development.

The Director will oversee board onboarding, education, and communications while coordinating strategies for presidential engagement and major donor

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required plus relevant advancement or nonprofit experience.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional experience in advancement, board or volunteer relations, executive engagement, or nonprofit leadership.
• Experience with governing boards, foundation boards, or university leadership groups.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary staff liaison to the Foundation Board of Directors and Leadership Council.
• Develop and manage an annual framework for Board and committee activity aligning governance and priorities.
• Lead board meetings, retreats, orientations, and related activities with effective materials.
• Strengthen governance practices, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Coordinate presidential engagements and ensure strategic, well-prepared interactions.
• Collaborate across Development, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services, Finance, and Communications.
